About This Course

The main aim of basic life support is to save lives. This is a set of life-saving techniques used to help a person experiencing cardiac arrest, respiratory distress or an obstructed airway. 

Objectives: 

Recognize the importance of Basic life support training.

Describe the importance of high-quality CPR and its impact on the chain of survival either in hospital or out-of-hospital cardiac arrest.

Overview of anatomy and physiology of cardiopulmonary system.

Recognize the signs of cardiac arrest, respiratory arrest and choking. How to Perform high-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants.
