The intravenous infusion (IV) therapy training course is intended for registered nurses who are or will be engaged in inserting, caring for, and sustaining intravenous infusion. The cannulation—the insertion of a cannula (plastic tubing) into a blood vessel—is emphasized in the IV therapy training for nurses during hands-on IV starts.
